Asprokampos: Privately owned vineyard on the Stymfalia plateau using the LYRE vine training system
Destemming and pressing of grapes, extraction for two hours, and fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 15° C for about 15 days. Fermentation of a part of the wine in acacia barrels in order to increase its aromatic complexity and structure. After the final mixing at the end of fermentation, the new wine stays for a few days with its ‘fine’ lees.
Light rose colour with almost blue highlights, with aromas of red fruits, gooseberries and stone cherries complemented by notes of rose and clove as well as mineral notes. It is distinguished for its special finesse, cool acidity and its long-lasting fruity aftertaste.
Excellent with salmon, grilled grouper, pastourma pie, grilled shrimp, while being the ideal accompaniment for light dishes of Mediterranean cuisine, sushi. Goes very well with fruit salads. Also drunk as an aperitif.
