Asprokampos Nemea: Vineyard at an altitude of 800 m, on the Stymfalia plateau. Shaping of the stem wall using the LYRE system.
Brief pre-fermentation cold extraction in grape pulp, followed by alcoholic fermentation with selected yeasts and extraction at temperatures up to 25°C. Maturation of the wine for 12 months, in 225-litre French oak barrels. Bottled unfiltered.
Dark purple colour with violet highlights, of sufficient density, aromas of ripe red fruits, vanilla, with strong tones of green pepper and aromatic herbs such as basil. In the mouth, it is round, balanced, and aromatic, while the floral flavour is impressive. The aftertaste – which is backed by excellent quality tannins – is long-lasting.
Excellent with duck, Wellington rabbit, grilled and cooked meats, dishes with red sauces and intensely aromatic herbs, as well as cheeses and cold cuts of medium intensity.
